Over C is a Brazilian rock band with English lyrics and a universal appeal. Their
first song, Shock Me, Baby was included in the soundtrack of the independent movie
No Pain No Gain, from director Samuel Turcotte. On June 2009, the band was invited
by producer Joe Bird from Quickstar Productions to participate in the compilation
CD Rock 4 Life, which includes bands from 15 different countries. Over C was created
by Alex Puga, bass player and song writer. The band also includes Heraldo Paarmann
(guitar), Bia Lombardi (vocal) and Fred Barion (drums). Alex’s songwriting
partner is Roney Giah, a composer, singer
and guitar player with a solid international career of his own.
On 2009 Roney signed with British label Astranova Records, and received awards from
The John Lennon Songwriting Contest and from Billboard World Song Contest. He was
recently nominated for the MusicOz Award, which takes place in Australia.
